The first ever Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was held in the island nation of Singapore on 14th August 2010 with over 300,000 spectators, 26 sports and culture and education programmes as well as a total of 18 competition venues
Asia Ability were proud to have been part of this prestigious event! They facilitated a series of BeatsWork sessions for the athletes in the Olympic Village in addition to a couple of events to entertain the spectators. The Beatswork in the Olympic village was customized to focus on highlighting learning about the coming together of a multitude of cultures together into the Olympic Spirit and Ideals. Jacques Rogge even dropped by one of the sessions and we had him on the shakers for a short while!
They drummed with an estimated 2000 people all together.
