Kingfisher Asia collaborate with a new mission

Homeware and furnishing wholesale distributor, Kingfisher were looking for a collaborative team building activity that would reinforce and internalise their new mission, vision and values. Catalyst team building activity Flat Our Pyramid for the event.

What happened on the day?

The 140 participants were divided into 24 working teams. Each team was given a series of plans to mark from which to work to label and cut large cardboard sheets from which to fold into four identical shapes. The teams quickly got to work assigning roles, divided resources and quickly collaborated to create their team pyramid. Then these individual pyramids were connected to other teams. This ensured cooperation and collaboration across adjacent teams and provided a forum for integrating resources and skills. The newly joined shapes provided three levels of a much larger pyramid to integrate the whole organisation.

The final huge pyramid installation was decorated with the new company Mission, Vision and Values to ensure reinforcement and internalisation by all participants. The Pyramid stands a s a reminder that teamwork and togetherness, not silo mentality are key to Kingfisher success.
