In Blockbusters each team is provided with printed guides that explain the technical aspects of creating a trailer, a bunch of props and a tablet. The tablet has a digital template that has fixed elements; soundtrack, place holders for media (that they must shoot or source), as well as, blank titles that they must script. This ensures that the final video is of high quality and looks professional.
Their challenge is to make it relevant and they will discover that this takes forethought, planning and expert execution as well as supreme self-belief! Each team receives a different theme and this ensures plenty of variety at the end of event screenings.
Blockbusters challenges participants to translate your company’s business messages in to dynamic, attention grabbing movie trailers that cut through the clutter and capture the essence of the issue at hand. Blockbusters mirrors the real world of film-making with tight deadlines, high expectations and pressure to produce.
Participants learn that clarity & focus aid the creative process and make execution of a complex task a lot simpler. The many different roles; technical, writing and acting require a great diversity of skill sets and personalities and teams have to manage their human resources accordingly. Sometimes filling roles where there is no obvious matching strength in the team.
This activity can been designed to adhere to physical distancing guidelines. We modify the program to avoid game materials and handouts that need to be passed between participants. And, avoid anything where you have to get too close! Our skilled facilitators will be there to guide your participants throughout the experience, ensuring that as well as keeping to social distancing protocol each participant is engaged and having an enjoyable learning experience.
